<span id="ctrlDescription_ctrlDescription_l">Hello and thank you for viewing my loan request.

If you view my profile, you will see a more detailed explanation, but I am looking for $4000 to pay off a credit card at 29.99%. Although I am disappointed in my D score, I also know how I got there and do not plan on going back (I also think that it is borderline C)

I have been employed with the same Fortune 500 company for the past year and a half. My wife has been employed with the same company for five years. Our present household income is just shy of $90k/year.

The Reader's Digest version is that with only one income in the household (and it wasn't my income), medical bills (two kids had to go to the ER - one for a broken arm, one for a cut on the forehead, nothing cronic) we struggled and got behind on bills. Mortgage came first and then our loan (one for our minivan) and we put credit cards last. Being late on credit cards not only hurt our credit score, but created a vicious cycle of debt - we couldn't pay, so they would add a late fee of $39, increase the interest rate, lower our credit then charge for an "over the limit fee". Arrrrgh. But that was back in Dec of 04, since then we have dug ourselves out of a hole but the credit card companies are refusing to budge on the interest rate. We are looking at getting a helping hand getting rid of this outrageous credit card debt.

My state regulates the maximum insurance I can offer and unfortunately, that is 15.75%. I wanted to go a higher as I realize the marketplace of Prosper, however the government will not let me.

Thank you for looking and your support!

Peter
Also thanks to Keith for the advice!
