Hi Everyone. My name is Jeromy and I live in Puyallup, WA. Please check out my member profile. This details my family situation, my credit, and what led to my "D". Feel free to contact my group leader, Cellardoor, to verify I sent confirmations of this. (credit report, commissions, etc) The 7 year delinquencies and BK were the effect of marrying into a family with a special needs child. Medical expenses grew, then my wife received an overpayment bill from SSI for $9952 for our son's disability payments, due in 60 days. This was the straw that broke the camels back. The 2 currents are medical bills that fell through the cracks. We've got health coverage, but we see many clinics for our child. There were bills that weren't fully covered by payment and insurance. My GL, Cellardoor has been gracious enough to verify the credit report I submitted states the 2 delinquencies were for $60 and $158 each, and are medical in nature. I would have paid, but were only discovered when I ran my report. Cellardoor can attest since then, all our accounts w/the exception of those 2 oversights have never been late. (paid off a car loan, held several credit cards for 2-3 years each since the bankruptcy) Ability To Repay I left my 15 year career in broadcasting 5 months ago to open my own insurance agency, for professional and personal reasons. I needed to focus on my family, rather then 12 hour work days. I'm my own boss and in control of my success. Given the many overlapping competencies between my old and new jobs, I am at 65% of my prior income. I sent my GL copies of tax returns at my old job, to demonstrate fallback income levels. I should be at 100%+ of my old income in the next few months as I see renewals from the 50+ policies issued through my agency. There's a growing light at the end of the tunnel. We haven't lived an extravagant life during the transition, it'll make that "break even" point sweeter. My GL verified my email address with an insurance company that services over 10 million customers, and noted my name and email address was easily found on the company's online agent locator. I sent him a copy of my folio of commissions I'm receiving, as well as a document of additional non-commission income from my company. Budget I currently earn $1800 p/m, GL verified. I saved $7000 for this transition. We burned through it faster at the start then now, as income has increased. About $1000 remains. Monthly expenses: Rent: $950 Utilities: $275 Insurance: $175 Business Expenses: $200 Gas: $150 Total: $1750. My monthly income increases as we progress. As stated above, we're living thin, but it's nice knowing if need be, we can survive off the current income level. The extra funds are emergency cushion. Why I'm Here The purpose? The money may come into play, it may not. It's a mental thing knowing a safety net is there. I'm working like crazy to get to that break even income level, it's the sign "I've made it". I love the concept of prosper and the idea of a place to go when life hasn't been an easy journey. I'm happy giving my money to someone then a faceless building. I'm looking forward to the day when I can be a trusted member of this community, and participate as a lender! Thanks for your consideration! |
