I am looking for a loan for two things. First, I need more reliable and cost effective transportation to work. I am currently driving an old truck. I drive 35 miles one way to work each day. My gas costs are very high and the truck is wearing out fast. I am planning on buying a used motorcycle for the summer. At the fall I plan on selling it or trading it for a used car for the winter. I have a chance to get a good motorcycle for below the going rate for the age and type of bike.
Second, I have a daughter getting married this fall. We have most of the money for the wedding but need to come up with the money for the caterer for the reception.
I currently have a C rating but this is a little bit deceptive. We have very little debt and I have one account that was an agreeded payoff a couple of years ago during a time that I was working odd jobs after a layoff before I got my current job. I have worked at the current job first as a contractor and now as a full time employee for over a year. Because of the small number of loans my wife and I have the negative account on the credit report has an abnormally large effect on the score. Our debt to income ratio before applying for this loan was only 1%. We have excellent payment record on all our other loans and pay our loans on time and in full.
