Purpose of loan: To secure a financially stable future for my son and I, by consolidating my high interest credit cards and paying off 4 payday loans, at the same time improving my credit by maintaining a solid repayment history. My financial situation: I?m an extremely driven, hard working 26 year old single mother of one. I work full time for First American Title as an Escrow Assistant earning decent wages. However, with all the financial difficulties I?ve encountered this year, it?s sad to say I don?t have much to show. It can be somewhat discouraging when you feel as if you just work work work, only to find yourself broke after handing over your hard earned income to costly bills each month (of which I will eliminate with this loan). The driving force in my search of finding a way out of my situation is my 3 year old son, Trey. He deserves every opportunity to experience all that I?m capable of giving to him, financially and emotionally. Because of a few past credit mistakes, I?ve had no choice but to pay the high interest rates each month, leaving little for our remaining living expenses, in turn causing countless hours spent worrying about how I?m going to make ends meet, therefore being too preoccupied to be the mom he deserves and needs me to be. This year has been the most difficult financially that I?ve ever endured. At the beginning of the year, I literally exhausted myself getting through the Holidays on my budget and actually started to feel a bit of relief, right up until my roommate moved without notice (a week before rent was due) leaving me to cover her share of the rent ($550), and stuck with absolutely no other options, but to get a payday loan with a 521% APR!!! They might help you out in a bind, but if you don?t have the money to pay it in full on your next check, you?ll get sucked in quicker than you could even imagine. Next thing I know, I?m taking out another payday loan just to pay a fee to extend the due date by 2 weeks on the first loan I got. And before I knew it, in the course of 7 months, I had a total of 4 payday loans, paying a total of $520 per month to extend the due date an additional month, with no end in sight . . . until now hopefully! Prosper will pay these in full and finally put an end to this 7 month stream of highway robbery! I am currently paying $520/mo in extension fees, with a total balance due of $1,615 to pay all 4 loans in full. As of August, I?ve paid $2,600 in fees, just to borrow $1,305. It?s absolutely nauseating. Monthly net income: $ 3100.00 Current Monthly expenses: $ 3,081.00 Housing: $ 815 Insurance: $ 80 Car expenses: $ 364 Utilities/Cable/Phone: $120 Food/entertainment: $100 Credit Cards/Loans: $842 Clothing, household expenses: $100 Cell Phone: $80 Gas: $120 Daycare: $460 Current Monthly expenses: $ 2,639.00 (w/ Prosper Loan) Housing: $ 815 Insurance: $ 80 Car expenses: $ 364 Utilities/Cable/Phone: $120 Food/entertainment: $100 Credit Cards/Loans: $400 Clothing, household expenses: $100 Cell Phone: $80 Gas: $120 Daycare: $460 **As you can see, Prosper would save me $400/month and a tremendous amount of stress, allowing me to get back to what?s important in life, my son. =) Thank you for taking the time to view my listing. =) |
