Hi Everyone,
My name is Tricia and I am a woman on a mission. I am dead set against getting rid of my family's credit card debt and I am documenting it every step of the way on my blog, bloggingawaydebt.com (Blogging Away Debt). I started blogging in February and my starting credit card debt was $37,000+. Now, as of May 31 it is roughly $31,500. I am very determined to pay off this debt as fast as possible.
Part of the problem is that I have a little over $19,000 on a credit card with 13.99% interest. I do have two other cards that I can use to play the balance transfer game, but there is still $3,500 that I do not have room to play the game with. That's where I am hoping I can find help through Prosper.
What I would love is for a funded loan for $3,500. While I play the balance transfer game I will be paying Credit Card #4 off agressively. That is the only joint credit card between my husband and I and paying it off (again) will be beneficial to both of our credit scores. After that card is paid off, I will then be paying this Prosper loan agressively because it will probably have the highest interest rate of all of our unsecured debt. While considering my loan, please note that this loan has a very high probability of being paid before three years, and thanks to my blog you will be able to find out if that is the next on the agressive pay-off list at "Blogging Away Debt."
My credit score is good, but my debt-to-income ratio is high since our income is only around $40,000/year. Please do not let this scare you right away. We live in an area that has a very low cost of living and our decent home only cost $35,000. Our property taxes are only $500/year. I hope there are lenders out there that can overlook the high ratio and look at my credit score (which is good) and look at the committment I have to becoming debt-free. We live very frugally and I've always made sure we could pay our bills. That is one of the reasons my credit score is high. I never want to have collection calls or feel like I cannot provide for my family.
Since I am blogging about my progress, any lender that chooses to help fund my loan will be able to check my progress. I am quite frank and open on my blog and I tell of happy times as well as sad times. I have found a great sense of accountabiliy with my blog and I have had others mention how I am an inspiration to them. That means the world to me and I don't want to let anyone down.
With that, I would just like to say thank you for your consideration :) |
