Purpose of loan: I intend to use this loan to fund my college education. I am attending Emory University as a college sophmore. My major is Chemistry, for which I am aiming for a Bachelors' of Science. Following attaining this degree I will apply to Emory's Medical School, and hopefully enter their M.D./Ph.D. program. I have been doing everything I can to help fund my education. I worked and will continue as a Supplemental Instructor for Calculus during the school year tutoring my peers. In addition I will also work with my Organic Chemistry lab professor. In addition to this maximum 10 hours per week of school employment, I will act as a Resident Assistant. Also I will be President of the Anime Club and Liason for the Colleges Against Cancer at Emory, plus participating in other campus activities. My current GPA is a 3.744 and I have completed a total of 49 hours of course work. My financial situation: Firstly, I will be a good candidate for this loan because I am determined to continue my education at Emory University. Secondly, my parents' financial troubles has me determined to focus and keep track of my finances. I have diligently kept track of my credit cards in hopes of funding my way through colleges getting loans in my own name as I need. I am prepared work part time following this year somewhere to prepare for repaying loans after school, or if I must, throughout.
