My two golden retrievers and I do pet therapy with cancer patients at my local community hospital. The furkids actually lie in bed and give comfort to very ill and often dying patients. My own dog needs surgery this week and I am requesting a loan to pay for some of the veterinarian's fee. I have funds for the other half of the fee, but am short for the remainder of the vet's charges. I only wanted to borrow $500.00, but apparently because I live in California the minimum amount of a loan is $2,550.00. If I am granted this loan, I will pay back $2,000.00 immediately, as I really don't want to take out a loan for the entire amount. I think this amount is also raising my DTI because when I first put in my numbers, it said my DTI was 19%. I also have only myself to support at this stage in my life, so my expenses are pretty basic. I am a very good loan risk as I own my home free and clear and just have a small equity line of credit loan with my bank which I just converted to a fixed line of credit of 7.44% a few weeks ago. This rate was only offered to preferred bank customers. I have had a stellar banking relationship with Bank of America for over 25 years. I do have three negatives on my credit report which are all easily accounted for. One is a dispute that has been on my credit report for over seven years and I'm guessing I have to get some professional assistance to finally get this off my report. One is a small, under $50.00, cell phone bill which is disputed for credits never made and promised to my account last year. The last is for a recent bill in January for car repairs which was supposed to have the contract terms of six months no interest, no payments which I selected because I was going to just pay off the whole bill with my income tax return. When I didn't send in the first two payments they reported this to the credit bureau. I'm working with Firestone's corporate offices to correct this and remove this from my credit rating. Upon closer look at my credit report, you will find I have a history of NEVER being late on any payment on ANY loans. The reference to a "public record" is for some property taxes I was behind on many years ago which were paid off about five years ago but apparently stays on your report for seven years. These easily accounted for negatives, unfortunately, have made my credit classification a high D. I am on the case, now that I am aware of these erroneous reportings, to get these dings off my record and when done will reflect my true credit worthiness. I saw this website featured on a television program several months ago and bookmarked the site if I ever needed a loan or was in a position to fund one for someone else. It appealed to me that people could circumvent the corporations and help each other. Thank you. |
