Hello and welcome, I am a 39 year old divorced mother of two teens, living in Beaverton Oregon. My son just graduated high school and is headed to college this month, and my daughter is attending college part time and is ready to move out in the next few months! I was a foster mother to two teen girls who are now out in the adult world! My nest is about to be empty and I am looking forward to concentrating on "my" future ! I have raised my kids alone now for 13 plus years. I guess you could say I have a big heart, which has put me in a position of helping raise other people's children as well, even with no financial help. So as you can imagine I have found myself in financial trouble a few times over the years. I got into such a bind in 2001 when I stopped receiving child support from my childrens dad that I ended up having to file bankruptcy. It was a hard decision, given my career, but it was one that was necessary. Unfortunately, that puts me in a higher risk category now. I have re-established my credit since my bankruptcy, with my car loan, and credit cards, but found myself with several high interest, high annual fee credit card accounts, that never seem to go down. I have actually managed to pay off 3 of my credit accounts over the last 6 months! I would now like to consolidate my car balance, taxes and the remaining credit card. Brace yourself ! As nice as I may look in my picture ! I am one of the bad guys I suppose !! I have been in the Collection Industry since graduating in 1985 ! However, bill collectors are people too, and get into debt just like the next person. I have been at my current job for over 8 years now. I have had several positions in the company including that of the Collection Supervisor. This position took its toll after 4 years so I resigned from it about 2 years ago. Since that time I have had a few position changes that have made my income fluctuate quite a bit over the last few years, that is, until the last 6 months. What makes me a good candidate for this loan is that I am now in a stable position and have built my commission back up, so that I am no longer robbing Peter to pay Paul ! My nest will be empty soon, I feel like a very large door is opening for me next year and want to start it off without these rediculous debts hanging over my head, which is where Im hoping that Prosper.com can help ! My take home $520 per week base salary. My commission can be anywhere from $800 to $2000+ per month and is paid to me on the 3rd friday of each month. My minimum take home pay with commission can range from $2,500.00 to $3,500.00. My year-to-date salary on my most recent pay stub dated 08/10/07 is $37,294.38 which means I am on my way to making $60,000 this year! Here is the breakdown of my basic expenses (not including the debt I would like to pay off with this loan): Rent $900, Car Ins $260 (this will go down after I pay off my car), Phone $140, Elect $160 aprx, Cable/Int $120, Gym $34 Total basic expenses $1614 With my minimum take home of $2500 and my maximum take home $3500 that would leave $886 to $1886 per month to cover the loan payment if funded, my groceries, gas, and of course the money my starving students will be calling me for ! I will be paying off two more accounts with my commission check on 08/17/07, Les Schwab $276 and Fingerhut $556 ! The bills I will pay off with this loan are: Capital One finance $4000 (aprx pay off), IRS $1045, Dept of Revenue $1375, Merrick Bank $575 (my last credit card whoo hoo! ) - Total $6,990.00 |
