Purpose of loan: Consolidate ALL credit card debt and say good bye to MBNA and Chase forever! My financial situation: First off, I'm 150% committed to elimiting all of my credit card and establishing a solid nest egg for myself and my family some day. This loan will allow me to consolidate 3 credit cards into one monthly payment which I can easily manage and kiss good-bye in 3 years! Unlike a good deal of other prosper borrowers, my credit and financial situation is not a mess. I have a great career, a 401K, Roth IRA and a brokerage account. My disposable income at the end of each month is in excess of $1,000.00 and I've been making $1,000 a month payments on my credit cards since the first of this year. My credit card debt originated from an extended study abroad program I participated in while in college and paying for my licensing examinations and study materials. I understood that using credit cards for both of these expenses would be far from ideal but at the time, they were the only means of financing available to me. Now I wish to consolidate this debt and rid myself of credit cards debt for good! I am currently single, without dependants and I have great job with a good deal of upward mobility in the next few years. Being single and not having dependant?s means that if I must, eating spaghetti and limiting my entertainment expenses will provide me with an easy $100-200 per month buffer should I require extra funds per month. In addition, for my job I travel a good deal so at the end of the month, a large portion of my food expenses are covered by my employer. When I travel for pleasure, I always use whatever frequent flier miles I?ve accumulated to cover airfare and stay in hotels where a night or two can be covered through by frequent stay programs. I?ve worked hard to keep my credit rating where it is, currently at an ?AA? and I am not about to jeopardize lowering it at this phase of my life. Also, in case anyone asks, I?ve not owned a car in 2 years as a planned additional means of saving money. I rent my parking space out for $40.00 per month which pays for a few trips to the movie theatre. I use public transit to get to and from work, around town and my monthly transit costs are paid by my employer. I have a spotless driving record and do not have any DUI or DWI convictions. I am fully committed to repaying the debts which I relied upon to broaden my education and life experiences and save for my future. This loan from prosper will lower my credit card interest by more than 5% and allow me to focus on only 1 payment per month as opposed to 3. In closing, I?d like to say that I?m confident in my ability to repay this loan in full and I?m more than happy to give the interest to someone like myself (I?m also a prosper lender) rather than MBNA or Chase.
