Purpose of loan:
(explain what you will be using this loan for)
I want to pay off my mother's funeral, medical/dental bills, possibly some credit cards.
My financial situation:
(explain why you are a good candidate for paying back this loan) I help you and your loved ones 24/7, 365. I'm hoping someone will give me a little help right now.
I am an RN. I have been a nurse since 1988. With the current nursing shortage and no end in sight, I will be able to get a job any time. I make $33/hour salaried and my wages will only increase. I have worked at the same place since 11/95 except for a 6 month period 8/01 - 1/02. I joined a DMP last fall for credit card debt. I believed it was a smart, responsible thing to do. All my accounts were on time until then. They now show as 3 months behind, because of the time it takes the creditors to accept the DMP's proposals. The credit card companies accepted the payments from the DMP, but late fees, over limit fees, etc. continued to accrue until the DMP proposals were accepted. This accounts for about half of the delinquencies. My mother's funeral expenses (I am responsible for) are the remainder of the delinquencies.
I now know that the only "plastic" I can have is my debit card. I have 13 credit cards in the DMP; these accounts may be listed as open but are not accessible for my use. When I complete the DMP I plan to opt out of any unsolicited credit offers.
I have downgraded my satellite TV programming, cutting it almost in half. My goal is to pay cash for as many things as possible and put some money in savings, using credit for house and car only.
