To the good folks in this group: this is a re-listing for a loan request that just expired. You all were kind enough to fund 54% of my original request so I am re-listing with a request for a lesser amount; the amount that you all were willing to fund. I am hopeful all of you who bid will bid again so that we can get this done and I can start the dental work I need. At this point, any amount is useful toward getting the first phase of the work going. Thanks to all of you who bid and please, please, do so again. WHY I NEED THE LOAN: I am in critical need of a dental implant that is the latent result of a childhood accident (I broke my two front teeth on a rock while swimming in a river in the Sierra Nevada). This is not elective cosmetic work; my front upper tooth is rotting and sliding out of the socket and creating recurring infections close to my brain. My dentist is telling me it must come out soon. The best means of filling the gap where that tooth is now is with an implant. However, my insurance does not cover implants. Because I am in the middle of a debt settlement program that I entered to get my finances back on solid footing (which they now are), I cannot get approved through the financing companies that dentists use. But I do have a strong income and employment history, and with my debts now under control, I have a significant amount of disposal income each month to repay this debt. I would not be looking to take on additional debt at this point were it not for the the urgent, health related nature of this need. ABOUT ME: 48 year old divorced father of three. My daughter is entering her senior year at a prestigous liberal arts college. My oldest son starts college this fall at a public university. My youngest son will be a junior in high school. I have been employed at my current employer in a management position for 11+ years. Prior to that, I worked for the same company for 15 years. I am an avid mt. biker, hiker, fly fisherman and snowboarder. MY FINANCIALS: Monthly take-home: $ 4500 Rent: $1300 Utilities: $300 Life/Auto Insurance: $325 Car Payment: $398 Debt Payments: $324 Tax payments: $200 College Payments: $250 Food/Gas/Misc.: $600 (my ex-wife pays for a good part of the kids' food) Discretionary Left: $803 ADDITIONAL COMMENT: I have recently revised the loan request for a lesser amount hoping that might help lenders reconsider. I have to have this work done; my health is at risk and any amount toward the total cost will help out immensely. |
