I am relisting this loan after having only 13% funding after 3 days of showing the loan. I am adding 50 bps to the offer taking the rate to 10% from 9.5%. I am also adding more information to the listing including my income and expense information. I am trying this service for the first time. I am going to purchase an engagement ring shortly and I can finance it via this service or with a credit card. I am trying to pay a rate lower than I would pay with a credit card, but don't need to get the funds from prosper.com I am 31 years old and work in the financial services industry. I work for a bulge bracket investment bank and my base salary is in excess of $100,000. I am also granted a bonus after year end. For every year I have worked in the industry in a sr. role, this bonus has been well in excess of the value of this loan. It will be the same this year. This loan will only be a SIX month loan, and I will prepay the balance at the end of January due to the compensation schedule. This is the best 6mo CD you'll ever see. I've never maintained large credit card balances and can easily finance the monthly payments. I have excellent credit and plan to keep it that way as I plan to purchase a home after I am married. I keep very low expenses excluding my rent. I don't own a car or have other major overhead to drag on income.
