First of all thanks for taking the time to read this loan request. I'll try to be brief as possible with giving as much supporting information as possible. Last year my wife's doctor discovered there was a tumor on her left ovary. Thankfully it wasn't cancerous, but due to it's size and position it had to be surgically removed. There were a few complications with the surgery which caused her to have to stay in the hospital longer than originally envisioned. Our Insurance covered a good portion of the operation, but a sizeable amount was left as our responsibility. We wound up financing our portion of the operation on a couple high interest rate credit cards we have. Instead of making payments to a nameless/faceless corporation we'd rather refinace this debt through Prosper.com and turn this into a Win/Win situation. We win because our ultimate interest rate will be lower, and YOU win because we take our debts seriously. I know our credit score is an E and I want to take a brief moment to explain. In 2003 I lost my job in the High Tech industry in Portland Oregon. After about 6 months we had to sell our house to avoid foreclosure. Since we had only been in it for a short time we essentially broke even. After selling our house and with no money left to our names we filed for Bankruptcy and moved to Utah to be near family for a fresh start. Since then I've been employed continuously and make a nice salary. We have a couple car payments and very little debt otherwise. Our debt to income ratio must include the total of that car debt because other than them and our credit cards (less than 3200) we have no debt. |
