Thank you for viewing our listing. We hope you will find it in your hearts to help us and we would like to help others on Prosper as well. Purpose of loan: This loan will be used for dental expenses not covered under health insurance. My wife needs extensive work on her teeth (probably dentures) and is in a lot of pain right now and this needs to be done as soon as possible. My medical insurance is wonderful, but dental is based only on reimbursement. They allow $1500 per year, per family and there are 5 in our family. The $1500 allowed would not come close to covering it anyway. The dentures could carry a pricetag of $2500-$4000. All dentists in our area demand payment in full at the appointment and we do not have that much savings. If there is additional money after the dental is paid for it will go to paying down the Prosper loan and/or high interest credit cards. My financial situation: We are financially stable homeowners. I work in the IT field for the past 25 years and have been in my present job for 5 years. My wife stays home with our 2 young children 5 and 2 years old, and also has income derived from an online business as well as social security income. My credit took a large hit after filing bankruptcy 2 years ago. I was unemployed for 6 months five years ago. We voluntarily allowed a vehicle to be repossed when we could not afford the $450 payment and fell behind on credit card bills because we were living on 60% of the income we previously had. Some of the credit reporting agencies reported the debts multiple times for the same bill which brought it down even further. We had to claim bankruptcy of because of those bills and some other medical bills. Our credit is very important to us as we need to refinance our home within 2 years to get our of an ARM loan set to expire in Aug. 2009. It has come up from a FICO score of around 500 to a 670 currently, in 2 years. Monthly net income: $ 3200.00 (not including wifes) Monthly expenses: $ 1820.00 Housing: $ 1000.0 (9% interest rate) Insurance: $ 0 (paid for 1 year) Car expenses: $ 0 Utilities: $ 200.0 Phone, cable, internet: $ 120.0 Food, entertainment: $ 350.0 Clothing, household expenses $ 100 or less Credit cards and other loans: $ 100 (could be paid off or down with loan if leftover) Other expenses: $ varies, would not affect ability to pay loan Prosper payment: $ ?? Leftover: $ 1330.00 (not including wifes income) Thank you for viewing and your bid. |
