Purpose of loan:

This is my second loan through Prosper.  The first loan was needed to cover unexpected medical expenses, the loan is now paid in full with no late payments.  Thanks to those who funded that loan... It really helped me out.

The new loan is needed to consolidate my other unsecured debt and close the negative accounts on my credit report. Most of these accounts are over 6 years old but need to be taken care of before I can buy a home or finance anything at a decent interest rate.

My financial situation:

I've worked in the computer / software industry for the last 8 years as a Software Engineer / Analyst.  I was with my previous employer for just under 5 years but recently left for an exciting opportunity as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with a software company called Alpha Bay in Salt Lake City, Utah.  I am currently making 70,000 a year salary.  After my monthly expenses shown below I am left with about $2,800 a month.  I was paying just over 900 a month towards my unsecured debt but with my new salary and this loan I will have the opportunity to be out of debt this month and move on with my life.

Monthly net income: $4,600.00

Monthly expenses: $1,780.04
  Housing: $695.00 (Rent)

  Phone, cable, internet: $100.00
  Food, entertainment: $200.00
  Clothing, household expenses $100.00
