I went through a bankruptcy four years ago because of large medical bills while I was uninsured.  Since then, my credit history has been nearly perfect, if not flawless.  I'm currently paying $255/month for the loan I'm looking to get paid off.  I would pay it off immediately and be in a much better position...paying considerably less per month than I'm currently paying, and for three years instead of 7.  I am extremely motivated to continue my more recent good credit history.
