I am a PhD student at UC, San Diego. I am currently on my second year of the Biology Department. My thesis research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of cancer. My future goals are to continue research at a research institution and eventually becoming a professor or a similar profession dealing with teaching or researching cancer biology. I am here at Prosper.com because I currently made a purchase of a beachfront property in Nuevo Altata, Mexico (just north of Mazatlan). It is a gorgeous place but the development there is at its initial stages of becoming a beach resort and tourist hot spot. I have bought early and cheap but I had to pay all upfront (much cheaper). I had to take out a small loan and cash advance from credit cards to complete my purchase. I would like to however, borrow (from Prosper.com) enough money to repay the cash advance money so that my interest are much lower. I receive a regular salary through my research department because I was awarded a research fellowship from the National Institute of Health for the next four years.
