Purpose of loan:
We have had some exciting changes in our life.  My daughter finally was given the independence of an powered wheelchair, unfortunately, this is going to require additional home modifications.  She deserves this so much, despite her condition (she can not walk nor speak) she maintains a B+ grade point average while attending regular classes.  She has never taken a short cut.  Also, after years of waiting, we found companionship for our daughter, Penelope.  Penelope is a privately trained service dog, because I wanted the dog home with her al long as possible.  We couldn't wait any longer for any groups who train dogs to approve us, so we arranged for Penelope privately.  Unfortunately, I didn't realize the true cost of her ownership.  But the reward far outways any sacrifice.  Penelope and the power chair have given my daughter freedoms she has never realized.

I will use this money to pay $1500 to the trainer for Penelope (the dog) and $3500 to modify a bathroom with a wider door and add a sturdy ramp to the front of the house.

Financial Situation: I am in debt, but I will get out.  It has been years since I have missed a payment, at least four years now.  I meet my obligations head on and have a four year plan to get completely out of debt.  I wouldn't be doing this now, but these items I explained about are truly life necessities for my daughter.     Because I work and have a good job, I do not receive aid to pay for these items for my daughter and her needs.  I may struggle, but I have always remained committed to giving her the best life possible.  Unfortunately, for a while, it was by going in debt.  Now we are both facing changes.  I have not been late since 2003, which was created when I allowed someone to use my credit card with their promise to pay the bill.  I pay all my bills on time.

I will be taking my excess income each month and applying it to my debt two-fold.  First, I have several small balance credit cards that I am paying off first (by 9/1/07), then beginning applying my excess to the highest interest rate debts first.  Additionally, it may seem small, but I have also cut out two luxuries (housekeeper and mochas) which is going to yield me an additional $2100 per year in extra income.
