Purpose of loan: Add to savings to begin consulting business. My financial situation: I had financial difficulties in 2002 but have since bounced back in a big way. Now a senior executive at a technology firm, I have been employed for close to 4 years with an income of over $180K. I am looking to start a consulting business that leverages the knowledge accrued over last 4 years and will allow me to supplement my current income. Loan and current savings will be used to finance engineering development over a 6 month period (contracts and relationships in place), hardware and software needs, among others. Will be using current industry contacts to kickstart business. There are a couple of corrections coming to my credit report in the next month that should push me to where I belong in the credit rating: B.
