I am an attorney and real estate broker in Chicago, Illinois. Each year, I purchase several condominium units to re-sell. I choose units in Lake Shore Drive building that need updated kitchens and baths. I choose building that have over 500 units and the potential for good price appreciation. I am currently working on 2 units at 4250 Marine Drive. Each unit needs about $7500 worth of upgrades (carpet, updated bath, paint, etc.). I am interested in a prosper loan as an aternative to credit card debt. My time frame is 12-18 months. Typically I either sell the unit and pay my debt or rent the unit and refinance.
