About me: Hey! My name is Dan and I'm 24 years old. I'm starting my own small business, selling advertising to local business'. I already have very strong leads for 2 clients, each at $100/month, which will easily cover my loan installments (Expected to generate $1000/month within 6 months). Barring that I make a lot more then I spend, as you'll see in my breakdown below. I simply cannot come up with this much money in a timely-enough fashion. I've been preparing for this for almost 2 years, and one competitor may or may not be entering my market soon. I only have $56 of costs per month to run this business. My only other costs will be entertaining clients. Thats it. I work fulltime as a systems administrator, but I do clerical duties as well. I have a part time job at a prestigious hotel/club. I make tips, which usually average about $300/week. I have not reported my tips to Prosper, and they have not been factored into my profile. I was promoted to assistant manager at my part time job in just 3 days. I am an overachiever on every scale. Purpose of loan: To start my own small business. Cost breakdown: IBM Thinkpad Tablet PC: $2200 I've chosen this particular Tablet PC because IBM's have excellent resale value, reliability, and support. Initial promotional materials: $450 1,000 stickers, 2500 flyers, 100 shirts Compensation for graphic designer: $500 Registration of fictitious name, small business license: $100 Financial situation: I have a great financial situation. Recently started a second job, which will help me get ahead. I just cannot come up with this money in a short enough time frame, which is why I'm turning to Prosper.com I've only been building credit for 2 years, I'm a late bloomer credit-wise. I've only been late with one Macy's card payment (thought I had paid it online, only to find out that Macys only supports ACH transactions). I've had tons of credit inquiries, because I was trying to obtain loans via other means. My credit should go up to at least a C rating within the next 8 weeks. I'll pay off two cards in full next paycheck. I'm going for the highest possible rate so I can obtain financing ASAP. I have copies of my Experian credit report available, as well as pay stubs.
