Fresh start for a single mom. I went through a divorce last year and got stuck with all the credit card debt, since it was in my name. Unfortunately, due to the divorce, the payments got behind, and I am now paying very high interest on this debt and am having some trouble making minimum monthly payments. If I can consolidate the debt, at a lower interest rate, I will be able to meet the payments, and make a fresh start for myself and my two boys (ages 11 and 4). I have a full time job, and am a licensed CPA and do taxes and bookkeeping on the side. I also have my house on the market, and when it sells, will have additional money to help me repay this loan.
I would prefer to make interest payments to individuals who are willing to give a single mom a chance, instead of to these large banks and credit card companies who just see me as a number and don't care about the hard knocks we all have to deal with in life sometimes.
Thank you for your consideration and for giving a single mom who is trying to do the 'right thing' for her boys a second chance.
