Purpose of loan: The purpose of the loan is for home improvements. The 1st priority would be replacing our roof on our home. It's condition is not good and the fact that we just entered into hurricane season, living along the coast line, is a concern. Other improvements such as remodeling our kitchen might also be considered, depending on the roof expense. (explain what you will be using this loan for) My financial situation: I am a civil service employee and will complete 3 years on my job in November. Although my past employment layoffs have set us back financially at times, I feel my job is secure and I am blessed with a good salary. I have worked really hard to pay my bills on time and improve my credit score and would be committed to continuing that trend. I would not do anything that would jeopardize my credit rating or score. My wife is also a retired AT&T manager and is currently a real estate agent. She would be willing to go back to a full time job if we saw the need to supplement our income.
