A little background on myself:
When I was an undergraduate, I fell into the trap a lot of students on their own for the first time fall into; credit card debt.  Once I realized my mistake it was too late and I was forced to pause my schooling and join the Army.  That would be the end of the story, but while I was in the Army I was very dedicated and most of my spare income when into keeping my head above water and continuing my education, as a result when I got out I had finished my bachelor?s degree and had the majority of my credit card debt still waiting for me.

I have taken good care of my credit record and always pay my bills on time, but I just have not been able to get out from under them and have a high debt to income ratio.  So, I?m asking for a consolidation loan to clear out and cancel my high interest rate cards, two at over 25% and one at 24% with a loan.  As loans are designed to be paid off in X amount of time, even if I can?t get ahead on my loan at least I know I won?t be paying for my mistakes forever.

Finally, I am a graduate student in Mathematics, and a veteran, so I have guaranteed income in the for the Montgomery GI Bill (~$2000/mon) and work (~$700/mon) for at least the next three years as my goal is to complete my Ph.D (5+ years).
