Purpose of loan: I have had my business since 1997 and have funded it completely on my own. It has primarily been a part time business, but now I have recently expanded to the internet (www.carolinapersonalizedgifts.com). However, in the process I have maxed out my credit cards. I would love to get a loan to keep the website up and running as well as pay down the credit cards used for business purposes. The website is getting better and all information and research I have done shows that it takes time, I am not a quitter. I will also be holding money back for the first few loan payments and adding monthly to this fund so I will always have several months payments ready and available. My financial situation: I am a hard working family man who does whatever it takes (even working 2 jobs) to meet my responsibilities. I have spent most of my life in public service (paramedic, deputy sheriff) until I was injured on the job. I know I can repay this loan because I will be able to devote my personal income to my debts and the business will be in a position to take came of itself, plus with holding money back I will always have several months payments set aside. All of my accounts are current with no late payments. I think that there are 2 factors as to why my credit score is low, 1 is the credit cards (none have really high limits and I will be able to pay them off quickly with the help of this loan and also because I will not need to use them for business purposes). The 2nd reason is some tax leins that I never owed and I was not aware of until 2005 (the leins were dated 1995). I contacted the state, it was a different one than I live in now, and they put a zero balance as the amount owed. Unfortunately they did not remove them. Because I have paid all my debt but the credit cards and car loan I expect to be able to raise my credit score quickly. Again I have no delinquent accounts or late payments. My long range goal is to get this business on its own two feet, continue to work to become debt free and build a nice cushion for myself and my family. I would also like to change my status on Prosper from borrower to lender so I can help people like I hope to be helped. Thank you for your time. I will be happy to answer any and all questions. My income is 2000.00 per month, spouses income is 650.00 per month Monthly net income: $ 2650.00 Monthly expenses: $ 1633.55 Housing: $ 357.50 Insurance: $ 50.00 Car expenses: $ 301.05 Utilities: $ 150.00 Phone, cable, internet: $ 100.00 Food, entertainment: $ 250.00 Clothing, household expenses $ 50.00 Credit cards and other loans: $ 225.00 Other expenses: $ 150.00 That leaves me with plenty to pay the loan and finish paying down the credit cards. |
