Purpose of loan: The loan will be used to payoff high interest credit card debt My financial situation: I am a good candidate because I am college educated and progressing quickly in my job field. I had a serious car accident almost a year ago and missed one cycle of credit card payments. My rates jumped from 10-12% to 28-32% just for missing one payment. These are cards which I had previously had no late payments for 4 years, but in talking with the credit card companies they said it was well within their right to raise it that high. I disagree and feel credit card companies are solely predatory in nature. Now I pay so much interest a month that I can't afford to reduce the principal as fast as I'd like. I am hoping this loan will allow me to payoff the debt quickly and rid me of the corporate loan shark. Monthly net income: $ 2500 Monthly expenses: Housing: $ 0 - I've moved back home in order to rid my debt load as quickly as possible. I previously owned a single family home for 3 years and paid a 1250 mortgage without a missed payment. Since my accident and due to the credit card interest rate increase I had to sell the house and focus on ridding myself of revolving debt. Insurance: $ 85 mo. Car expenses: Car Loan - $216 mo Gas - $60 mo Utilities: $ 0 Phone, cable, internet: Cell phone $45 mo Food, entertainment: $ 100 Clothing, household expenses - $30-40 Credit cards and other loans: $ I pay nearly $800 a month in interest. Basically I paying for Chase's CEO's daughter to go to college with the interest I pay a month. Parking - $90 - I work downtown My Goal - My goal with this loan and the future is simple. Three years from now I will be revolving debt free. I will purchase property(house or condo) with the money I have saved and stop working for the Credit Card Companies who have preyed on me for too long. I also hope to be able to invest on Prosper.com so I can help people like me regain control of their lives and be free from Credit Card Companies who treat their customers like enemies. |
