Purpose of loan: I'm looking to pay off a high interest rate installment loan (5,000) taken out last year to get out of a short term financial bind, as well as pay off a personal debt (5,000), get rid of credit card debt and have some money left in reserve. My partner recently started attending GA meetings, and we are looking for a fresh start. My financial situation: I have an excellent income with a very reputable mortgage and financial services firm. While we are able to make our payments on time every month, we are having difficulty getting ahead due to high interest rates we're paying. I'd like to eliminate this issue and pay off our debts in a shorter time by taking a loan with a more attractive rate. As I mentioned, my partner has started dealing with a gambling problem that was close to overwhelming us completely. This will allow us to keep our heads above water and put some money in the bank.
