Purpose of loan: Hello. We recently had our fourth child, and my wife is taking some leave without pay to stay home with the baby. She had nearly two months of vacation and sick leave saved up, and she is taking an additional two months without pay. We were planing to use our credit cards to pay her bills for those two months, but we are hoping to get a better interest rate on Prosper. I have a MasterCard and Discover both which charge interest rates over 20%; that is why I have such a low Debt To Income ratio (I have to want something very badly to borrow at 20%). My financial situation: I am a data engineer at the telephone company Windstream. I just received a raise, so my new annual salary will be a little over $61,000. I have worked at Windstream since August, 2003 (when it was still part of Alltel). Monthly net income: $ 3684 Monthly expenses: $ 3020 Housing: $ 810 Insurance: $ 135 Car expenses: $ 200 (fuel & maintenance, car is paid for) Utilities: $ 300 Phone, cable, internet: $ 175 Food, entertainment: $ 900 Clothing, household expenses $ 0 (wife pays) Credit cards and other loans: $ 0 (will use Prosper instead) Other expenses: $ 500 |
