<span id="ctrlDescription_ctrlDescription_l">I'm a systems
administrator with the Human Genome Sequencing Center. It's a good,
stable job, and I plan to be here for quite a while. The road getting
here was rocky, though. I had been laid off from my previous job for 2
1/2 months before I found this position. That period severely damaged
what had been an A+ credit rating, as I both ran up credit card debt to
stay afloat, and got behind on my credit card payments. At the same
time, my son was born (that's the "critter" in the picture). In fact,
he was born the day before I got my job offer. So, I have a lot of
credit card debt at high interest rates, and expenses from raising my
son (daycare ain't cheap!) making it hard to pay beyond my minimums on
my credit card debt. My loan will be used strictly to pay down my credit cards. I refuse to add any more debt to our lives. |
