I am a 36 year old father of two. I am a recent widow of a seven year marriage as of July 3, 2006. I am an Army veteran that served during Operation Desert Storm (17th EB). My group leader has vetted me and can substantiate my claims in this listing. Purpose of this loan: I would like to pay off a CashCall loan that has an interest rate of 56%. The payoff amount is $5,216.40. The monthly payment on my CashCall loan is $254 so this Prosper loan will also lower my monthly payment. My Financial Situation: I pulled my credit report on 5/23/07 and my Experian Plus score was 639. I have a good job with a steady income. Since my wife?s passing, my father has let us stay with him until things get better so I have no housing expenses. He also pays for all the utilities, groceries, and covers the tab if we go out to eat. Delinquencies and Public Record: My GL can confirm that the negative line items in my credit data are from 2001 when I lost my job. That was a bad year when the economy was terrible and I could not find work. My son was also born in September of 2000 so we had the expense of raising a child with no money coming in. I was forced to file bankruptcy in June of 2001. Since that time I have never been late on any payments. Even through the pain and difficulty of losing my wife I was never late.
