Purpose of loan: I just moved for a new job with much higher pay. I paid for the move with a my credit card, as well as furniture for my new (much larger) apartment, and a new computer. I intend to pay off the debt over the course of 1/2 to 1 year, and I'd like a lower interest rate. My financial situation: Through sound financial decision-making, I developed a AA rating while I was making $16,000 to $22,500 salary the last four years. Now I have a new job that pays much more, so I'm an even better credit risk. Yearly net income: Base salary of $70,000. Including bonuses, $75,000 to $95,000 in my first year of employment. Monthly expenses: $ Housing: $1600 after June, $2200 until then. Insurance: Minimal. My employer covers health insurance. Maybe $40 to $50 a month for car, renter's, dental, and short-term disability insurance. Car expenses: About $50. I own my car outright, I've never had a maintenance issue with it, and I don't use much gas. Utilities: About $50. Phone, cable, internet: About $100. Food, entertainment: $300 to $400. About 40% of my meals are free. Clothing, household expenses: $50 to $100. Credit cards and other loans: About $100 to $150 on a very low interest student loan. Other expenses: No major expenses. |
