Purpose of loan: I am a Prosper lender looking to take advantage of the recently updated Ohio rate cap (the old one did not let me list higher than 7%) and pay down a balance on a credit card with a higher interest rate. My financial situation: I am a physician in Ohio with a steady income and I take my debts very seriously. I have never failed to repay any debt and do not plan on starting with Prosper. I think this is a great site and have been lending here for over one year. I have nearly 40 loans on Prosper as a lender and the income from those loans actually will cover the payments on this loan (barring a disasterous wave of defaults).
