Purpose of loan:
Last listing was 86% funded!  I am so happy to be making progress and ask those of you who bid last time to consider bidding a little bit more this time.  I can't reduce the amount of my loan request because I need the full amount to do what I'm trying to do, which is pay off a back tax bill that's plagued me for several years.  It's the last loose end from my past, and I'd love to retire it for once and for all.

My financial situation:
There are two recent changes in my finances that make me confident that I can make my Prosper loan payments.  I have recently paid off my car, which saves $450 a month, and in a few weeks my youngest graduates from college (UCLA!!!), so I'm about to be done with college expenses.  Although Propsper rtaes me an "HR", I don't think that my credit scores (585,595, 605) accurately reflect my circumstances and accomplishments.  I had a messy divorce and got left with husband's business debts and taxes, and a house with a mortgage greater than th evalue of the house.  I struggled along for a few years but ultimately had to file a bankruptcy. In spite of this I've managed to put two kids through school, get rid of the too big and too expensive house, and buy something small and more affordable.

I've always earned my living in commissioned sales and there are good years and difficult years, but I always seem to manage.  My last three years 1099 income is as follows: $61,000 (2006), $59,000 (2005), and $65,000 (2004).

Monthly expenses: $
  Housing: $ 1151
  Insurance: $ 745 (medical,auto, homeowners)
  Car expenses: $ 125
  Utilities: $ 350
Phone, cable, internet: $ included above
  Food, entertainment: $ 750
Clothing, household expenses $ included above
Credit cards and other loans: $ 250
Other expenses: $ 360 (for estimated quarterly tax payments)
