Purpose of loan: The purpose of this loan is to consolidate all of my higher interest credit card bills into one payment. This loan also sets a more favorable time table for the elimination of the debt. My financial situation: Currently, I am a member of Local 38 of the IBEW. I am an inside union electrician apprentice. My current wages are $16.37 an hour. Every six months, I earn a raise. That raise is 5% of the journeyman scale. That scale is currently $32.74. So, upon completion of this, my second year, in August, I will be making $18.00 an hour. My current residence is back at my parents home. To make sure that I could pay these debts off in a timely manner, I asked for the assistance of my parents in allowing me to stay at home throughout my apprenticeship. My apprenticeship is five years and will be completed in August of 2010. The prosper loan system lines up perfectly with that time table. It allows for me to budget for the next three years and eliminate my debt so that I can start fresh in both my financial and professional life at that time.
