Purpose of loan: (explain what you will be using this loan for) Pay down higher-rate credit card My financial situation: (explain why you are a good candidate for paying back this loan) I have a damged credit rating due to past experiences. In the past I had a much lower income but a great credit rating. I fell into the temptation of several credit card offers. Before I knew it, I found myself over-extended in credit card debt. I also fell into the cycle of pay day loans trying to keep up with the payments. This only made matters worse. I was in a lot of debt and falling behind on everything but refused to take the easy way out. I sold my home to pay off some of my debts and got a 2nd job which I have been at for just over 6 months. I was able to pay most of the credit cards off and am now current on the few I have left. I am trying to pay down one creditor that has been extremely difficult to work with. I am making monthly payments to them on time but most of what I pay goes to interest (very, very high rate) and fees from falling so far behind on it. I am in the process of restoring my credit rating and it is going up slowly, but surely. I have applied recently with other lenders and banks (reason for the recent credit inquires) but my credit score is too low to get approved for an unsecured loan. I have heard and read that "Prosper" is a better way to go so I am giving it a shot. I am a professional and responsible person who made some mistakes in the past. I have learned from those mistakes and paid the price both financially and emotionally. The toughest thing I have ever had to do was to sell my home, but I know that it was the right thing to do. I also know that I am on the right path to becoming a homeowner again in the near future. I would truly appreciate your consideration and thank you to anyone that can fund or partially fund my request. Monthly net income: $ 3600 Monthly expenses: $ 1733 Housing: $ 450 ( Ihave a roommate) Insurance: $ 65 Car expenses: $ 403 Utilities: $ 100 Phone, cable, internet: $ 115 Food, entertainment: $ 100 Clothing, household expenses $ 100 Credit cards and other loans: $ 400 Other expenses: $ |
