Hello and thank you for viewing my listing.

My wife and I bought our house back in 1997 when I retired from the Air Force. I met my wife here in Colorado Springs when I attended the Air Force Academy. We married the year I graduated and have been married for 31 years. Our house survived the teenage years of our three now fully grown children, and has seen its better days. My youngest still lives at home as he is a junior cadet for the Colorado Springs Police Department and is in school full time working towards joining the CSPD. Last year we were blessed with our first granddaughter. My wife watches her while my daughter works and goes to school. Her husband just returned from Iraq this past year. They have their hands full and need all the help they can get. My wife watches Emma 5 days a week, and her job is more difficult because of the condition of the house. It is hard enough chasing around a toddler, none the less when there are added dangers due to much needed home repairs. We hope to work on our basement and make it a place where our son can have his own space until he graduates from the Police Academy. The upstairs needs to have plumbing work done, the carpets replaced, doors replaced and desperately needs new paint. Our granddaughter loves to be outside, and in the condition it is in now, our backyard is not safe for her. We need to have our awning taken down, as it is very old and is at risk of coming down on its own. Our fence needs repairing, and there are holes that need filled and some landscaping that needs done. Our son in law has offered to do the work, but we just do not have the extra money needed to pay for the materials.

We have estimated the cost will be about $12,000 - The amount of the loan.

Our finances are stable. We have very little debt, and could easily afford payments on a loan of this size. We choose not to refinance because we are hoping to sell the house when our son graduates.

I have been teaching 7th and 8th grade Algebra at Emerson Edison Junior Academy for the past 6 years.  I have been a team lead for the past 4. I am very involved in school activities such as coaching track, volleyball and other after school sports. The job can be very demanding at times as it is a school that is in a less than fortunate part of the community.  But it is also very rewarding to know what a huge difference I make in the lives of the students who need direction.

My current monthly net income is $5200.

Here's my monthly budget with the prosper loan in place:
Housing: $1200.00
Insurance: $350.00
Car expenses: $294.00
Utilities: $250.00
Phone, cable, internet: $150.00
Food, entertainment: $450.00
Clothing, household expenses $300.00
Credit cards and other loans: $50.00
Other expenses: $0
------------------------------------
Total Monthly Expenditures: $3044

As you can see, I have over $2000 left over to be used not only for my Prosper Payment, but for savings and emergencies, and I can easily afford this loan.

I promise that my payments to Prosper will be my top priority each month. In fact, I am going to have Prosper automatically withdraw my payments each month so that everyone, including myself, knows that my payment will be made on time, every time. I'm not about to make a mistake with this opportunity to start rebuilding my credit.

Thank you again for viewing my listing, and God bless.
