Paying off old debts to completely clean my credit report

Purpose of loan: During my divorce on 2001, my ex-wife opened up several credit cards using my name on the account, and then preceded to max them out. A combined total of nearly $20,000 worth. By the time I found out about this, the divorce had been finalized and the credit cards were in default. After speaking to several attorneys about this, I was informed that I would probably spend just as much in attorney fees and probably never would see any of the money back even if I did retain a judgement against her. So since then I have been paying off these cards in order to fix my credit once again. Before this time, I had NEVER been later on anything. By using Prosper, I can finally clean off the remaining $7000 of the once, nearly $20,000 from my credit report and enjoy my new life with my wife. My financial situation: I currently have an A rating with Prosper, and I am quite sure that once this loan has been funded and the above debts are paid, I could have an AA rating. Paying off these debts haven't been a problem, just time consuming and a thorn on my credit. I am in excellent financial shape for the future, and am just wanting to use Prosper as a way to repair my credit faster. I see the light at the end of the tunnel with this loan.
