Purpose of loan: Over the past seven years and three jobs, I have gotten more and more into Graphics Arts, media, presentation and marketing. All of my employers, clients and coworkers have come to me for these things, and I have never been trained in them...I seem to have just developed a 'knack' for it... What I need to do now is formalize my skills, get a degree and then get a decent salary for the work I truly enjoy and am very good at. So - I need to go back to school. It sounds simplistic, but that is truly the overview of my plan. There are many details I have mapped out, of course. I have some money saved and am looking good for financial aide in the Fall semester (single mother, two dependents, veteran), however the financial aide is pretty much used up for the school for the summer semester and there are two classes I would really like to take to get the ball rolling. This loan, plus part of my savings will allow me to cover tuition, books, and a new computer (required for graphic arts). The overall $$ I have to put to this will be close to $6000, so I will invest some of my existing money, and you can help launch me on a path to get a nice salary and support my family even better! My financial situation: When I divorced 9 years ago, there was a lot of drama with my Ex. I will spare you the details, but the end result was I filed bankruptcy...that was the only way I could get his horrible credit to stop taking me down. Since then, I have paid on time and lived within my means - as I am certainly still doing. I never want to go through the ugliness of that situation again and I have also matured plenty. I am ready for the next phase of my life and to get out of 'administrative assistant' roles. I can handle this payment and will truly appreciate the opportunity! My children will certainly appreciate it, too! Monthly net income: $ 2250 from two main clients who I have worked with for two years. I have various other income 'here and there', but the $2250 is the stable income, so it is all I will mention for your consideration. Monthly expenses: $ Housing: $ 725 Insurance: $ 186 Car expenses: $ 350 (payment, and gas) Utilities: $ included in rent Phone, cable, internet: $ my principal client pays for my cell, and cable/internet are included in my rent. Food, entertainment: $ 200 Clothing, household expenses $ 100 Credit cards and other loans: $ 25 Other expenses: $ 100 (both kids are on swim team, so there is a monthly fee) Total Expenses: $1686 Leftover: $564 (prosper loan will be around $200) |
