Purpose of loan: I am a married, working mother of two elementary-school aged children. I drive at least 50 miles a day, five days a week to work. I drive a 2004 Honda Accord, but still this year's hike in the price of fuel hit my 2006 summer budget hard. Summer daycare costs were too much for me and something had to go on credit. My gas cards are the only credit cards I utilize and I now have $1200 charged onto them. I have calculated the interest rate cost to me as $1+ per day ? too much. I heard about Prosper.com and would like to help my budget balance by taking advantage of not paying such a high rate of interest that the gas cards charge.
