Purpose of loan:
This is money that I do not absolutely need to have. I would like to have it to boost my credit, that is the primary reason for this loan. I will use it to consolidate two loans which I could easily pay off separately, but since one of them is not in my name, and I have been paying on it for the last 3 years helping improve someone else's credit. I want to consolidate it and help my credit before it is paid off. My financial situation: Loan not in my name has only 3 payments left (auto loan) payoff balance $722.79 My credit card balance: $1257.36 My total debt: $1980.15 As you can see, I only need to borrow 2000. I am asking for 2551 because I live in California where the max interest for loans less than 2551 is 19.20, a rate which I cannot attain with my credit score. This entire loan will be repaid within the next six months. I would really like to improve my credit score. I like the concept of prosper.com and hope to be a lender soon. Also, I am considering obtaining financing through prosper.com to purchase my next vehicle, all the more reason for me to pay this loan back on time.
