Purpose of loan:
Pay off credit cards and make some much needed home repairs...

My financial situation:
I?m in my early forties, employed at the same company for over 24 yrs, married, two children and own my home. We had AA credit? However, within 6 months:
  • My Father passed away (no ins.),
  • I was pregnant and suffered serious complications requiring bed rest (received less than 5% of my salary).
  • I had a rental house that was vacant for three months (still had mortgage).
  • We owned other property (with payment)
  • Husband?s company was folding and he had to find new work taking a 50% pay cut,
  • Living on 25% of our usual income.
  • Used credit cards to pay for food couldn?t keep up with obligations.

Things started to snowball. After 5 yrs, we finally filed Chapter 13 in 2003. We didn?t want to walk away from any debt, which was very important to us. We want to pay off credit cards and use one only in the event of an absolute emergency.

Important Note: There is a discrepancy in the report provided by Prosper: I?ve included the summary of my actual Experian Report I pulled on 3/26. There have been NO late payments since 2003, NO current delinquents, and all payments are made on time. The debt to income is higher because my husband?s income is not included. Husband?s income is $70,000 year and he?s been in the same company for 7 years now. I have contacted Prosper to see how to resolve this.

Experian Report currently reads:
Percentage of credit currently available 0%
Satisfactory accounts 34
Now delinquent/derogatory accounts 0
Was delinquent/derogatory accounts 7
Public records 0/1
Number of inquiries 6
Credit information based on Experian data as of 3/26/2007.

I'm asking for a chance to prove myself and to get my credit scores back up to where they use to be. Making my payments on time will not be a problem and commit to making every payment on time. Thanks

My NET income a month is $4797.

My monthly budget (my half):
Mortgage/rent: $2200
Insurance: $75
Car expenses: $700
Utilities: $120
Phone, cable, internet: $100
Food, entertainment: $250
Clothing, household expenses $100
Credit cards and other loan payments: $100
Other expenses: $200
---------------------------------------
Total monthly expenses: $3245
