ABOUT ME: I am 50 years young, very happily married for 28 years, 3 children young adults getting their lives going away from home now. I have been with my current employer for half my life, 25 years and still going strong. EXPLANATION OF CHALLENGED CREDIT: I have always been responsible with my finances but 2 years ago my credit scores slipped because I did not read the fine print and was faced with a home payment double what I asked for and could comfortably afford. I have no delinquencies/public records. Deep credit otherwise with paid on time on over 30 accounts in 20+ years. But things have improved since I took a look where every dollar was going and cut it out to be able to keep up the double payment. It was very hard and around Xmas the first year into the loan, I had some lates. Once you go, then recovery is tough, but I did recover. My DTI (debt to income ratio) is high because of this issue my high balanced credit cards had to support the gap and finally increase to maximum interest that could be charged. I'm asking for a chance to keep the momentum to recover going. but I need to get lower balances on the high interest revolving balances to keep increasing my credit score. Making my payments on time will be my top priority each month, I sincerely promise you that and as you can see from my financial details, I will have the money to do it. Also, consider, I am stable in homelife, joblife and credit life, other than this reading issue 2 years ago. I have struggled, but not lost out or given in and honor my commitments. WHAT I WILL DO WITH THE MONEY LOANED TO ME: My lowest balance card will be paid off, then next lowest paid down and so forth. My Propser loan can easily be covered by the payments I was making on these cards leaving extra to bank for making sure payments are never an issue. HERE ARE MY MONTHLY FINANCIAL DETAILS: Net income after payroll deductions from all sources: $ 6060 Spouse's Income: $ 1000 Total monthly family Income $ 7060 Mortgage/Rent: $ 3982 Phone: $ 20 Gas: $ 20 Electricity & Water: $ 170 Car Loan and Operating Expenses: $ 500 Food: $ 300 Insurance: $ 350 Cable/Internet: $ 46 Clothing, expenses for children, etc. $ 100 Credit cards and loans that won't be paid off with my Prosper loan: $ 899 Other: $ 0 ----------------------- Total Monthly Expenses : $ 6387 I will have $_673_ left to make the payments on my Prosper loan. CLOSING REMARKS TO LENDERS: My primary goal is not more debt, but to raise my credit score. Paying the minimums on high credit debt will take 40 years minimum and take a couple years to bring my score up for more reasonable products, I should normally have almost 50% income available to save and be debt free if I had not errored 2 years ago. I have lived the horror of my error and really ready to be free of such heavy debt and personal burden. People make errors, and I admit to mine and have learned the results, I would like a chance to Prosper in life. Will you consider me? ---------------------------- |
