I want to
consolidate several high-interest rate credit cards so that I can aggressively
reduce my debt. While in college, I made the mistake of racking up large
amounts of credit card debt, but since then, have been working hard to correct
my mistakes and pay off my debt. Please note that my displayed DTI assumes
that my Prosper loan will be added to my total debt, but does not take into
account the planned use of my loan to pay off my credit cards; thus, it is much
too high.I graduated
from the in February 2005,
where I studied Linguistics. I spent my last semester working full time as an
intern, and impressed my managers enough to eventually receive a permanent
position there. It is a software development company, founded in 1985, with
sales close to $1 billion a year. I have been working there since September
2004, making $46,800 annually as a Sr. Technical Writer. My credit
rating has been steadily improving over the last few years as I drastically cut
down on credit card use, and whenever possible, stopped using them altogether. However,
most of my cards have high utilization and high interest rates, making it hard
to eliminate debt. I have never missed a payment, and always pay more than the
minimum. I am paying ~$575 in credit card payments every month, and ~$915 in
other bills every month, which includes a car payment ($330), a school loan
($150), household utility bills (~$300), and a personal loan to pay for graduate
course work, as I do not qualify for student loans at this time ($135). I also
have miscellaneous expenses that add up to ~$250 a month, which leaves me with
a little more than $425 each month to work with. This loan would help me
consolidate my credit card debt, and hopefully, reduce my rate, allowing me to
eliminate my debt that much sooner.I have been
advised by my group leader cellardoor, as well as another successful Prosper
borrower in my group, who now does business with the group leader. I have been
dating this borrower for almost two years, and we have been living together for
over a year now. My group leader can confirm that he?s seen evidence for my
statements above. I will be
happy to provide you with any additional relevant information if you like. Please
feel free to contact me at carlson.jennifer.l@gmail.com. I am aware of the risk in providing you with my full name and contact information,
but I hope to demonstrate as fully as possible that I will not default on this
loan.Sincerely, Jennifer Carlson |
