I am re-listing this request at a slightly higher interest rate. When posting my initial loan request I was unfamiliar with the bid-down process. I have set my opening bidding percentage 15% and I am hopeful that my credit will be instrumental in seeing it bid down. I work full-time in the clerical department of Union Pacific Railroad, where I enjoy excellent job security and ample overtime opportunities. I am a young, highly motivated individual who owns my own modest home and is determined to free myself from the burden of debt in the next few years. I learned my lesson with the charge cards a couple years back but, while the cards themselves are long gone, the debt remains. Along with residual credit card debt of approximately $8000, I also have an outstanding note to my father for $7000. This represents money he lent to me to help finish school, cover moving expenses and purchase a vehicle. While I have been paying him back each month, he wants to purchase a travel trailer this summer. It would honor him if I consolidated all of my debt into a single loan and repaid him.Lastly, I listed this request $500 higher than the previous. This represents money I plan to use to have ectropion corrective surgery on my cocker spaniel puppy's eyelids. This looks to cost $420 plus lab fees. My dogs eyes are droopy, making them prone to irritation and the veterinarian recommended having them corrected. It is a costly albeit wise procedure to invest in for the sake of my beloved dog's long-term health. My financial situation: I have excellent credit because I have always honored my debts. I pay my bills on time each month, set a budget and keep money in reserves for emergencies. I have a good, secure job which pays a living wage and allows me ample opportunities to work overtime. I live modestly, and am able to set aside money each month as a buffer for emergencies. My goal is to have 3 months expenses in reserves by the end of the summer. This loan would actually end up reducing my monthly expenses by a small margin, not to mention offering me the convenience of a single payment and a sensible and aggressive three-year payoff term.I earn an additional $600 every month by leasing out my extra bedroom to a friend and renting my garage to my father for storage space. My monthly budget: Mortgage/rent: $740.00 Insurance: $66.00 Car expenses: $ Incidental repairs only Utilities: $100 - heat/electricityPhone, cable, internet: $60.00 Food, entertainment: $150.00Clothing, household expenses $50.00Credit cards and other loan payments: $550.00 (WILL BE REPLACED MY NEW LOAN PAYMENT) Please help me achieve my financial goal of becoming debt-free in three years! Thanks for all your help. |
