Hello potential lenders, I'm a 26 year old System's Administrator for a local College. My family has lived in Texas for the last 3 years and I have been employed full time with this job since moving here. The reason I'm applying for a loan is to pay down my family's combined credit card debt. My wife and I have 3 cards with an average of 18% interest. I have a very good credit history and rating. I just don't have enough to hit the AA rating. We want to purchase a home, but feel that we need to get out of the pit that credit cards dig for you(then throw you in). I have been looking at getting a debt consolidation loan through my credit union. Then I came across Prosper.com. I haven't heard anything negative other than peoples personal fears. I want to try this out and see if we can improve our debt and clear it out faster. I I can pay this loan off. I don't miss payments, my credit score is great, and I have a good debt to income ratio.
