Who am I?
I am a 24-year-old Enrollment Counselor for a large private university. I'm also a full-time student in a Masters of Business Administration program. When I'm not at work or in school I'm with my girlfriend of almost 4 years and our "family" - a fat cat named "Buoy" and a hound named "Doorknob!"

What's my financial "past"?
I went to medical school for one year and despite doing very well decided to leave and pursue something that would allow me to have BALANCE in my life! I was fortunate enough to have financial support from my family through college (until age 21), but then was quickly "turned loose" to pay my own way through life (something I think is necessary and just). Between the ages of 21 and 23 I was in school full-time and not able to work. These years were difficult as my cash inflow didn't cover my cash outflow. Like many, I relied on credit to make up the difference and slowly but surely ended up owing more than I had ever wanted.

What's my financial "present and future"?
I'm now very successful at my job and earning a respectable salary (~$65,000) with still many opportunities for advancement (i.e. raises and promotions). For the past year I have accumulated very little additional debt and have been aggressively paying down the debt I've incurred. I've chosen to pay $600/mo toward my debt and put any excess or "windfall" money (i.e. tax return, gift money, etc.) toward my debt.

Oh, and since September 2006 I'm now a very proud homeowner!!

Why Prosper? Why this loan?
While I think Prosper may be a great avenue for borrowers in "desperate" situations, I am NOT in a desperate situation. I'm pursuing this loan as one part of my debt repayment strategy. First, I'll be consolidating 2 credit cards and 1 line of credit that have interest rates higher than the required rate for this Prosper loan. Second, I'll be reducing my revolving credit balance in exchange for an installment loan which I expect to be favorable on my credit score (which is already fairly good - between 680 and 720). Finally, I like the premise of Prosper and would be happy to give a fellow member a respectable return on their investment rather than continuing to throw money at the big banks!

Why am I low-risk?
- "B" grade credit score
- Very low Debt-to-Income ratio
- No delinquencies
- No defaults
- No bankruptcies

What about my Prosper Group?
I took a lot of time to find a great Prosper group. I've been accepted into a 5-star group with 533 members, 104 serviced loans, $457,474 in outstanding loans and --- 100% of loans are current - no loans are 1+ months late!!!

As you can see, I am an informed borrower, NOT in a desperate situation, and have the means and dedication to make every payment in full and on time. If you're looking for a fair and guaranteed return on your investment...you've found the right place!

Thank you again for your consideration and confidence! I welcome any questions!
