This is my second attempt at funding a loan through prosper. The first one was funded at an extraordinarily quick pace and I was so excited. I took out a loan in the first few days of being with prosper to see how it functioned and then I was going to take out another loan later, because I wasn't sure exactly how much I needed. I was informed that I could only take out one loan so I had to pay back the funded loan in order to get a higher amount. I know the debt ratio appears high, but only my salary is calculated in the USA figures as my husband is Romanian and receives his salary in Romania. So we do have the money to cover this loan. I am a missionary in Romania working with street youth. You can find out more about me and what I do in my profile if you are interested. We moved into our home 1 year ago that we built with money we had invested from our wedding. We did as much as we could with the money we had and are still in the process of finishing it. We have a small child, 9 months old, and there are things in the house that just aren't very safe especially as he is an early walker. Plus we have a few things we need to complete before this winter! A few of our needs are: 1) To insulate and to seal the outside of our house. As you can tell from pictures it is just raw brick, and with this style of brick and style of building in Romania it has cost us a lot of efficiency during the winter, making for a cold house. 2) We need to complete our stairway. It does have baby gates up but I can't let Eli climb up and down with me either and He is already starting to walk on his own. 3) We need to buy some light fixtures, plugs so that we can get rid of some of the hanging wires that are around that Eli tries to play with. 4) To pave the back porch and courtyard and driveway so we have a place for Eli to practice walking and a place for our new puppy (soon to purchase) to stay.
