I currently have two credit cards that I would like to pay off faster and obtain a lower interest rate. This website was recommended to me by a close friend as a good place for obtaining a lower interest rate and a better monthly payment.

The first credit card that I would like to pay off is from Fred Meyer Jewelers and I used it to purchase my wife's engagement ring and wedding band. When I had originally made the purchase, I had committed to myself that I would pay it off during the nine month introductory zero interest period but unfortunately due to unexpected medical bills I quickly fell into the minimum payment trap. The nine months elapsed quickly and any progress that I had made paying off the card was gone due to the compounded interest.

Card Type: Fred Meyer Jewelers
Total Due: $1, 407.76
Interest Rate: 27.73%
Minimum Payment: $47.00

The second credit card that I would like to pay off is from Dell Financial services and I used it to finance a laptop that I needed for work. This was a very good investment for me. I received a promotion and a recent salary increase. Right out of the gate, I knew that this credit card had a less than ideal interest rate, but I needed the computer to earn a higher income.

Card Type: Dell Financial Services
Total Due: $1,438.68
Interest Rate: 29.99%
Minimum Payment: $50.00

Since that time I have been working very hard to pay off ALL debt and have been carefully budgeting. If you are curious about my job history being so short, that's because I had worked at my previous employer for seven years and was ready to advance my career by obtaining a better position with a different company.

Hopefully with your help, I will be able to get these credit cards paid off quickly and continue my life as someone who saves money instead of borrowing it.

My credit rating is poor because I do not have many accounts and they are near maximum balance, I am younger and thus have a short credit history, but am reliable and have no delinquencies or late payments on my record.

We have the following bills in addition to the cards listed above:

Rent: $665.00 Per Month
Car Payment: $275.00 Per Month
Car Insurance: $215.00 Per Month
Electric: $60.00 Per Month
Water: $40.00 Per Month
Internet: $55.00 Per Month
Cell Phone: $95.00 Per Month
Credit Union Credit Card: $35.00 Per Month ($800 balance) -- I plan to pay this off completely in April

In addition to the bills listed above, we typically spend the following each month:

Food: $300.00 Per Month
Gas: $75.00 Per Month
Entertainment: $100.00 Per Month
Charity: $100.00 Per Month

Average Monthly Income (Net): $4000.00
Total Monthly Expense: $2010.00
Remainder: $1990.00

My wife currently has no outstanding debt, and has never established credit. She is currently staying at home and does not have any additional income.

Please help me get out of debt so we can save for our first home!
