Hello and thank you for viewing my listing. I am a 30 year old middle school teacher in Atlanta. I have been teaching for 9 years and after falling in love with my profession, have decided to pursue an advanced degree! Yes, everyone! My master's! I have found a great program from a Spanish university that brings professors from Spain to the United States. It's a great program and other teachers who have participated in it say it is wonderful. It's not free, though. And because it is a Spanish college, getting a student loan won't work. I was watching 20/20, saw a report on Prosper, and decided to give it a whirl. I need a loan for the following $420.00 airfare $500.00 text books $6000.00 total graduate program ----- $6920.00 total amount of the loan Why am I an E? Here?s the deal: I enjoyed my 20s. I was under the impression that I?d be able to pay for things with credit. Paying off the credit cards became an issue. I fell behind several times and didn?t care. I would catch up and fall behind again. People told me to guard my credit, but what did I care I was young! So here I am. A year out of the Roaring 20s and I have learned a hard lesson. I want to get my financial life back. I?d like to get married one day and buy a home so I need this chance to restore my broken record. I have been teaching Spanish for 9 years. 6 of those years in Mississippi and the other 3 in Georgia. I bring home $2900.00 each month. Here's my current monthly budget. $825 - Rent $50-Electricity $85 - Phone $100 - Credit Cards $200 - recreation $250- Groceries $0-Car payment $46-Internet $60-Gas/utilities -------------- $1615.00 - total monthly expenditures As you can see, I have over $1285.00 left over, and can easily afford the Prosper Loan Payment. I promise that my payments to Prosper will be my top priority each month. In fact, I am going to have Prosper automatically withdraw my payments each month so that everyone, including myself, knows that my payment will be made on time, every time.
