My wife and I are going to be starting to try to start our family. We've been married for four years now and would like to start this new chapter in our lives. To help us financially prepare, we would like to pay off our credit cards (both personal and business). We had to use these cards to survive in college and also to start our freelance jobs. My wife works full time as a writer/photo editor for an online distributor and I work full time as a web programmer. My wife is also a freelance voice over artist. We used the business card to build her a home studio. She is doing quite well and it is providing us with extra income already this year. I'm a freelance programmer/designer as well as a photographer. We both are college educated and graduated with honors. Due to the fact that we've only been out of school for 2 years, we do not own a home yet, and therefore to do have the collateral needed to get a traditional bank loan. Plus, we live in Pasadena/Los Angeles. Who CAN afford a home here? We've never been late for a payment, we always pay more than minimum on our cards, and are very responsible people. We are not looking for a loan to get a new start for us to have more $$ to play with. We're looking to do this to start off on the right foot financially when my wife becomes pregnant. (Hopefully, someday soon!) |
